Nursery Update (November 2015)

Our nursery is now three years old. Over 2,000 different items were planted on this plot of land three years ago. All these trees and plants will be used in the gardens surrounding the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium.

The trees in the nursery are green and lush. With over 2000 planted, they are inventory for the vast landscaping that will be done on the TOVP grounds and surrounding areas. Several different species will be used to frame the striking building. Once finished, the TOVP will resemble a grand palace set in princely topography.

Worth a thousand words

The TOVP has already received much acclaim and recognition for its grandeur and size. However, a picture is worth a thousand words. Our staff photographer took a trip to Navadwip and took photos showcasing the view of the temple from across the Ganga. The progress of the main dome and that of the art department’s projects are often the focal points of discussion at the TOVP. However, there are several other aspects of construction and planning equally significant to the poignancy of the architectural and landscaping arrangements. Last summer the TOVP began a nursery near the Jagannath mandir.
