In October of this year, the 125th Appearance Anniversary year of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a new and one-of-a-kind ‘worship-pose’ murti of His Divine Grace will be installed in the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium. And Srila Prabhupada will now personally invite the Deities into Their new home.
In Vaishnava spiritual life it is a principle that the disciple is assisting the spiritual master in his service to the Lord, especially in His Deity form. As we pray daily in the Guruvastakam prayers:
śrī-vigrahārādhana-nitya-nānā-
śṛńgāra-tan-mandira-mārjanādau
yuktasya bhaktāḿś ca niyuñjato ‘pi
vande guroḥ śrī-caraṇāravindam“The spiritual master is always engaged in the temple worship of Sri Sri Radha and Krsna. He also engages his disciples in such worship. They dress the Deities in beautiful clothes and ornaments, cleanse Their temple, and perform other similar worship of the Lord. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master.”

Essentially, in every ISKCON temple we are simply assisting Srila Prabhupada in the worship of the Deities who he has personally invited into the temple to accept the worship. In other words, by the mercy of Krishna and the grace of Krishna’s pure devotee, Krishna agrees to enter into the Deity or murti form.
Srila Prabhupada’s murti form being installed in the TOVP means that he is entering the temple prior to the Lord in order to make preparations to invite Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Sri Pancha Tattva and Sri Nrsimhadeva into Their new home. He will be personally present to oversee the remainder of the construction and all the work in preparedness for this historic event, blessing us all with the opportunity to serve the Deities.
We request every ISKCON devotee to take this installation very seriously and to see it not as symbolic, but as Srila Prabhupada actually coming to the TOVP. He will be taking his eternal seat as the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON and making sure that the Lord who he has invited to reside there is properly situated and served.
