With the super-structure rising at an accelerated pace, the management at the ToVP is now beginning new projects to accommodate this progress.
A nursery has been started at the Jagannath Mandir. There are currently 3000 trees there with another 2000 expected. A full-time caretaker tends to the plants and ToVP devotees regularly visit to check on them. Many varieties have been ordered, including coconut trees, flowering trees and lush bushes, and they will be integral to the ToVP Master Landscape Design. As the super-structure continues to grow, so will the trees They will be large enough at the time of transplanting to readily accentuate the beauty of the new temple and the improved ISKCON Mayapur campus. While plans for the exterior are underway, similarly the decor for the interior is in motion. To help in overcoming any obstacles in moving and carrying the adornments to the temple, the ToVP has recently acquired a new forklift. This will be used for relocating heavy items, like the marble, from their temporary holding sites. Now the fun is really beginning as the ToVP devotees work on the garnishes for the new temple.
