Sridham Mayapur’s famous Lotus Park has been converted into a construction site over the past few weeks, as site clearing works proceed at a rapid pace.
To replace the Lotus Park area, a beautiful new parkland is being created for the pleasure of all guests just behind and to the east of the existing Temple. Many trees from the construction area have been transplanted into the new park area, and already workers have established beautiful flower-beds and grassed areas to facilitate pilgrims to Sri Mayapur Dhama. Work is also proceeding steadily on a new road which will link the Samadhi entrance to the new park, bypassing the construction area.
As the famous Lotus Fountain came down it was clear that a new era in Mayapur has begun: the former Lotus Park is now the site of the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, with construction planned to begin in February 2010.
