Main Dome Rising

Excitement pulsed through the hearts of the TOVP devotees as they watched the first piece of the main dome structure being hoisted into the air.

The 6.3m x 3.9m stainless steel portion of the dome shell traveled approximately 52m from the ground by two cranes before reaching its destination. Laborers then began the arduous process of bolting it to the foundation. It is expected that the dome will rise another 54m from this point. This is the first of an estimated 240 pieces that will form the main dome. Once completed, this architectural achievement will be the shining signature of the new temple.
